Client: Head & Shoulders
Brief: Use the H&S football stars to show that when you don’t have dandruff you can perform at your best.
What We Did: What came before us was a world where fans chanted a song about hair products at Joe Hart. Time for some serious modernisation. If we have massive sports stars, and a massive sporting occasion, why not try and act like a sports brand and create something that was filled with genuine emotion?
We set out to try and make something people would genuinely think is cool and link the product to that feeling instead of trying to constantly push a benefit that people already knew (who doesn’t know that H&S clears dandruff?). In fact… could we do both?
[Side note - We also co-wrote the music with an original artist we found, who went on to release the track on his own, later that year. Music writers? Guess that’s ticked.]
